A Green Approach Mediated Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles using Extracts of Ananas comosus (Pineapple) Waste: Characterization and Antibacterial Evaluation

Abstract

In the present article, the nanoparticles of Ananas comosus (pineapple) extract were prepared by an effective way considering the environment and cost to be efficient. The nanoparticles were prepared by bioreduction method. Characterization of the sythesized nanoparticles were done by UV-visble, FTIR and SEM methods. At 420 nm, an absorption peak was found. The nature of the peak was broad which indicates that increase in time broaden the peak that in-turn indicates that the synthesized nanoparticles were polydispersed. The synthesized nanoparticles were stabilized and the capping of the same were done by the biomolecules present which was characterized using FTIR spectra. It also proved that capping material in the extract was the sole reason for the bioreduction process.
